Excursion Itinerary

Day 1: Port Said/ Pyramids Tour
When your cruise ship docks at Port Said, a representative from TheTripBooking will meet you near the departure door, carrying a sign with your name on it. Following that, you will travel to Cairo in an air-conditioned vehicle for around three hours, where you will board a police convoy to arrive at Cairo. Reach Cairo to take a tour of the Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerine Pyramids. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley temple, which is a part of the Pyramid of Chephren. Next, travel to see the big sphinx, a pharaoh's head with a lion's body that dates to the reign of Chephren. Drive to see the world's oldest large stone construction, the Step pyramids of Zoser. For King Djoser, it was constructed during the third dynasty, or roughly 2630 BC. Lunch is going to be offered in a Cairo local restaurant. Spend the night in Cairo.

Day 2: Egyptian Museum / Salah Din Citadel/ Port Said
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be escorted by your tour guide to the Egyptian Museum, where you can view antiquities from the Pharaonic period. The museum boasts an exceptional collection of Egyptian antiquities, regarded as the most valuable and extensive in the world, spanning 5000 years. An exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun's collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before their discovery in the 1920s during the excavation of his tomb, is among the more than 250,000 authentic artifacts exhibited. You'll have lunch at a neighborhood restaurant in Cairo. Then proceed to the Salah El Din Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq. Boushnaq travelled specifically from Istanbul to construct this magnificent mosque for Mohamed Ali, the sovereign of Egypt from 1805 to 1849, during his 45-year reign. If there is sufficient time, continue driving to the Islamic Cairo region, where you will have the opportunity to visit Khan El Khalili, Cairo's old bazaar. Subsequently, travel to the Port using a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. Return to your cruise ship in Port Said for your final departure.
